Outdoor CookingCampers of all ages love cooking!
Campers of all ages love learning to cook outdoors! Part of our Outdoors Program, Outdoor Cooking includes teaching campers about the methods, tips, safety, and tasty recipes for cooking in the outdoors.
All cooking activities are taught and supervised by our Outdoor Counselors as campers learn how to safely use equipment, and follow recipes to create delicious dishes. There’s a variety of creative and healthy outdoor cooking recipes for campers of all ages. Some favorite camp recipes include campfire nachos, pizzas, western chili, tasty desserts, s’more treats, and more!
Outdoor Cooking is popular for both older and younger campers! Pre K-4th graders are able to choose Cooking as their Choice Activity once a week. 5th-CILT campers can choose Cooking and Iron Chef Cook Off as their SuperChoice activity on Fridays!
