Roughing It "Ready for Camp?" is a free workshop lead by Roughing It Director Ann Woods and is designed for parents who may not be sure where to begin in selecting a camp for their child. During this workshop, Ann will cover:

The best questions to ask in choosing the right camp for you
What resources are available to help you decide if your child is ready for camp
What to expect from the camp once your child is enrolled
Homesickness at day and resident camps -- it is normal!

Ann Woods--founder, owner, and director of Roughing It Day Camp--began her career in summer camps as a college student. She worked as a camp counselor at Kennolyn Camps, where she met her husband Hobie. Together, they have operated Roughing It Day Camp for 33 years. Ann and Hobie have presented workshops on summer camps nationally and internationally. They have been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Contra Costa Times, KGO Radio and CNN television.
